Ronna is the first subject of the three plots in Go. She works at (i think its called) Sons Supermarket with friends Claire and Mannie. She is really laid-back but also really naive, cause she gets herself into all kinds of shit without even realising it. Though she's really good at navigating situations, so good I thought on my first watch that she jumped in front of Adam & Zack's car on purpose, it just felt like something she would do lol. All I can say is she knows some weird people. Played by Sarah Polley.

Claire is the level-headed one of Ronna's group. She almost acts like the voice of reason between the three, like constantly telling Ronna not to go through with the drug deal, refusing to wait in Todd's place, and the most concerned about Ronna's eviction. She even says "at the risk of sounding like me" at one point, so she's aware of her neurotic nature. It makes for an even more interesting scene when she approaches Todd at the end of the movie, it's like the most ballsy thing she does in the whole movie. Played by Katie Holmes.

Mannie is sort of the goofball of the group. In one scene I spotted him in the background doing his job, but like he was messing with some salsa jars and just generally being silly. That should give you an idea of what Mannie's like. There's not much else to his character except being dumb, since he spends most of the movie high off his nut. I guess the fact that he stole two hits of ecstasy shows his character the best, through his whole trip it almost feels like he's regretting it. Played by Nathan Bexton.

Todd is the drug dealer Ronna ends up meeting up with for ecstasy to help two other guys out. Todd is interesting because a lot of his actions show him to be an asshole, like being weird with Claire, being strict about conditions when dealing, and going so far as to almost shooting Ronna after finding out she screwed him over. But then, he's really open with Claire at the end of the movie, like they have a good connection, though he still seems kinda hesitant to fully open up with her? Quote: "Professional curiosity, what are you on?" Todd just fascinates me, cause even though he's a dealer, it doesn't feel like he's particularly on either side. Played by Timothy Olyphant.

Simon... where do I even start? I know, he's fucking stupid. I don't even know if I mean that affectionately or not yet. He's just... a fucking idiot? Sets a hotel room on fire, throws a gun out a window, Marcus says "don't order champagne cause that means private dance" and he does that, he's told "don't touch the private dancers" and promptly ignores that so he shoots a guy in the arm... it's a long list, man. Like I said, I don't know if I mean idiot (affectionately) yet because while it does make his character who he is, it's almost frustrating sometimes. I don't know how Todd puts up with him, or how he even has Todd's credit card in the first place, it makes no sense that Todd would be that close with Simon. Played by Desmond Askew.

Marcus is such a small character but he contributes so much to the Simon plot. He also seems very deeply written compared to the size of his role. Like I feel like I can unpack so much about Marcus. He has a really successful girlfriend, he says she works at a college, he's really into "tantric sex" so he's really invested in his sex life, and it feels like he sees himself as a high-class guy, cause he's so proud of his appearance, like one scene he's hyping himself up in the bathroom mirror. But then he also gets some of the worst treatment out of all the characters (granted, Ronna gets hit by a car, Mannie gets sick from the x, Simon... you get it) cause he's constantly subject to microaggressions. Like one guy in the bathroom tips Marcus when he gives him a paper towel, a guy mistakes him for a valet, even the dancers end up dancing only for Simon, and when shit goes down, the guy who manages the dancers thinks Marcus was the one who fucked up. It's just so interesting that there's so much to Marcus yet no one seems to be talking about it. Played by Taye Diggs.

Adam is one of the actors in the pair, also Zack's boyfriend. It seems him and Zack have gotten into legal trouble before and are trying to do some sort of community service to clear their records, considering they're actors and can't have that kinda press. Adam gives me the vibe that he's, while headstrong, the more aloof between the two. He isn't as firm in his self as Zack seems to be, cause he's more shaken up after they hit Ronna with their car. He's unable to help Zack decide what to do about the situation, like he struggles to help him carry Ronna's body. Also, no one asked and it's not important, but he gives me bottom energy. Played by Scott Wolf.

Zack is the other actor, obviously also Adam's boyfriend. I should note they're both semi-famous actors on this crime drama series on TV in universe, but they don't get recognised much. Like their show is playing on a TV Claire is sitting on in the supermarket's break room, but when they are actually in the store, Claire doesn't seem to recognise them when they walk past her, which is weird but anyway. Also important to note some issues I found with both characters. I was pleased that even though Adam & Zack are written to be gay, they still act like regular people and not caricatures, except... I feel like I can barely note important parts about their individual characters, like they almost feel like the same person, also they're cheating on each other with the same guy, like maybe insinuating gay people aren't faithful? That was the vibe I got anyway. They also do a horribly "girly" scream when they hit Ronna, that felt really forced to me. Regardless, I still like them as characters, I just think it would be better if they felt more like individual people. Played by Jay Mohr.
